Celebrate 100 Years of
The Savoy Ballroom!
A hundred years after the Savoy Ballroom first opened its doors on Lenox Avenue, its spirit lives on in the music and dance communities it inspired.
Be a Part of a Legacy 100 Years in the Making
This Saturday, March 21, Harlem Swings and co-sponsors invite you to celebrate this legacy at the Savoy 100 Dinner, Dance, Fundraiser & 1st Annual Savoy Spirit Awards, held at the Riverside Church in New York City.
The evening features live music by Christopher McBride and the Showtime Crew, surprise Lindy Hop showcases and special appearances by past Savoy dancers who carry this history forward. Guests will also witness the presentation of the inaugural Savoy Spirit Award to Ms. Aduke Mickey Davidson, honoring those who have helped preserve and uplift this dance.
More than a celebration, this event supports the future of Lindy Hop in Harlem by raising funds for programs that keep this legacy alive for the next generation.
